yes thats right today is my birthday! I’m seventeen and can now watch rated R movies( cause I’ve *never* done that before…) buut, I guess its good to be getting older, it means the end of high school is ever closer. Lotsa people wished me a happy birthday which really made my day. Now I have to try to remember every one else’s….uh oh. I’m still thinking of having a little get together but nothing planned yet.
Anyways, my sister actuality did something nice for me this year. She made me a yummy cake and decorated it….with d10s and a clay figure of an elf holding a sword she made. ‘Twas the best cake I have ever had. In addition she bought be ‘The World Ends With You’ which is turning out to be a very good game. As far as I can tell the story is about an unsocial teenage boy named Neku (means cat in Japanese…) who doesn’t really want to get along with or deal with people. He is thrown into a game in which he is forced to partner up with a talkative girl named Shiki. The rules and goals of the game become clearer as you progress and meet new people. Its not the deepest of stories but the battle system more then makes up for it. You control 2 people at once, one on the top screen, one on the bottom. On the top you enter combos with the d pad and the other you control with the stylus on the touch screen. It makes for a confusing yet challenging battle.
